Paul Schramski Towers, State Director

Paul is the State Director of Pesticide Watch and Pesticide Watch Education Fund and manages the day-to-day operations of the organization. He previously worked for Toxics Action Center in New England. Paul is a graduate of the Green Corps field school for environmental organizing. He also serves on the Board of Common Frequency, a California-based media justice nonprofit.  

Elizabeth Martin-Craig, Northern California Community Organizer

Elizabeth is responsible for working side by side with communities in Northern California to address pesticide concerns, plan and execute effective campaigns and build grassroots groups for the long term.  She is a happy to be back in California after working on environmental campaigns in Chicago and New Orleans.

Dana Perls, Central Valley Community Organizer

Dana is the Community Organizer for the Central Valley region. She started working on environmental justice issues as Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, and then received her Masters in City Planning at UC Berkeley where she focused on community development and environmental planning.  Previously, Dana worked with various public, private and non-profit organizations working on climate change policy, water conservation, and sustainable development.  In her spare time, Dana loves to hike, garden, and find great live music.

Maya is the Community Organizer for the Central and Sacramento Valleys. Prior to Pesticide Watch she worked in Los Angeles with Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) and Associations of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Maya grew up in Stockton and is excited to be working and organizing on her home turf.

Nan Wishner, San Francisco Bay Area Community Organizer

Nan is the Community Organizer for the San Francisco Bay Area. She began her career as a journalist, subsequently completed her  graduate studies at UC Berkeley, and then taught English and Critical Thinking in  community college for 10 years before moving full-time into research and  scientific writing. She has been growing vegetables and fruits organically for 26  years and serves as Chair of the City of Albany Integrated Pest Management Task  Force

Elsa Dooling, Monterey Bay Area Community Organizer

Elsa is the Community Organizer for the Monterey Bay Area. As a career teacher, she has worked both in the classroom and as an administrator to support Monterey schools. Elsa also worked in Silicon Valley for several companies supporting online organizing, communications and marketing efforts.
