Action needed: Tell the EPA to clean up toxic “forever chemicals”

Toxic PFAS chemicals are present at hundreds of contamination sites across the country — putting our drinking water and health at risk. Yet it is difficult to force polluters to clean them up because these chemicals are not designated as “hazardous” under the law.

The EPA’s proposed rule to list these nine PFAS as “hazardous constituents,” would allow the agency to better regulate PFAS and enable the cleanup of toxic waste sites where PFAS is present. The EPA should protect our health from all PFAS chemicals, and designating these nine widely used “forever chemicals” is a crucial step in the right direction.

We urge you to protect public health by supporting this rule.
